  • Investments of $ 12.8 billion in infrastructure, security and education by 2028
  • Gigantic potential in the heart of Africa: undeveloped mineral resources, untouched nature and a young, ready -to -learn population
  • Chances almost never before: Political stabilization in combination with a comprehensive development plan for the country
  • International Investment Round Table in Casablanca with presentation of the national development plan and 24 concrete investment projects

The government of the Central African Republic has a billion -dollar investment program that includes all areas and regions of the country. Investments of $ 12.8 billion in conjunction with extensive state reforms and incentives for companies should trigger an upswing for the country in the heart of Africa. 543 specific projects have been defined by 2028. The poverty rate is to be massively reduced, 2,300 kilometers of paved national roads are built, 3,000 kilometers of fiber optic cables are laid and the electrification rate increased from 4% to 38%. The basis for this future program is the “National Development Plan 2024-2028”. Next week, the plan will be presented to the international public for the first time as part of an international investment round table in the Moroccan Casablanca.

“We are determined to develop the largely undeveloped potential of our country – through the acceleration of economic growth, the establishment of a resilient and sustainable infrastructure, the improvement of public fundamental services and incentives for investors,” emphasizes Prof. Faustin Archange Touadéra, President of the Central African Republic. “On the one hand, the aim is to start a real dynamic of the development and structural change of the country on an economic, social and ecological level and to reduce poverty on the other hand and to improve the well -being of our population.”

The Central African Republic is considered one of the least developed countries in the world. However, a lot has moved since President Touadéra in 2016’s taking office: the country’s pacification followed political stabilization and the renewal of state institutions. The economic key figures have also developed well: the inflation rate was 1.5%in 2024, the currency is stable and economic growth increases continuously (2024: +5.1%). In the Global Soft Power Index 2025, the Central African Republic is in 18th place in African countries and in second place in the Central Africa region.

Undeveloped potential – soil treasures, forests, arable land

The Central African Republic is an inland – surrounded by six direct neighbors: the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of Congo in the north of the Chad, in the east of Sudan and South Sudan, in the west and in the south. Tsar has access to 1.3 billion people via the African continental free trade zone (AFCFTA).

The Tsar has around 15 million hectares of arable land; Only 5 % of them are currently managed. The tropical climate with plenty of rainfall, fertile floors and large water deposits is extremely cheap for the cultivation of cassava, corn, rice, peanuts, cotton, coffee, cocoa, sugar cane, sesame and oil palm. Cotton and industrial plants in particular have strong export potential.

A good third of the state territory is forested – that corresponds to about 23 million hectares of forest. Precious species such as Mahogany, Sipo, Sapelli and Iroko are not uncommon. Local wood processing, ecotourism, the development of forests as carbon sinks and FSC certification (Forest Stewardship Council) offer significant opportunities.

An analysis of the World Bank identified more than 470 mineral deposits-including diamonds, gold, uranium, lignite, iron, copper, limestone, colombo tantalite, manganese, oil, nickel and colombo-tatalite (Coltan).

“The Central African Republic has a significant potential. We have to invest in human capital. This means that we have to bring important infrastructure closer to the population – especially schools and health services. The national development plan is to lay the foundation for a future -oriented vision,” says Premier Minister Félix Moloua. “We are now creating the prerequisites for success – and invite our partners to participate.”

“Ambition28” – Investor conference as a prelude to the future program

Under the title “Ambition 28”, the government of Tsar invites you to an investment round table in Casablanca on September 14 and 15, 2025.

“The Round Table in Casablanca is the start and sets a sign of stronger international cooperation between the government of the Central African Republic and private and public partners,” said Prof. Richard Filakota, Minister for Economy, Planning and International Cooperation.

As part of the two-day conference, President Faustin-Archange Touadéra and leading government members present comprehensively the content of the national development plan. Representatives of the World Bank, the African development bank, the European Commission, the UN, the Arab development bank for Africa, the International Monetary Fund, the International Finance Corporation (ICF) and the host country, the Kingdom of Morocco, underline the importance of international partnerships for the economic transformation of the country. Panels shed light on the investment opportunities in energy, agriculture, mining, infrastructure, digitization and tourism. 24 specific projects are presented.

The national development plan 2024-2028

“The national development plan is a turning point in the history of our country. The conference is the necessary catalyst and brings global players, donors and institutions to a table to start closer together in an economically strong future,” says Filakota. “We are not looking for alms. We are looking for fair partners who want to recognize opportunities, do good business and have courage to write the next success story of Africa together with us.”

The national development plan is the holistic strategy of the Central African Republic for the long -term transformation of the country. He focuses on security and the rule of law, human capital, infrastructure, added value in productive sectors as well as climate silver silence and ecological development.
