  • CDP order: Second A-rating in a row for outstanding climate protection measures
  • EcoVadis Gold: For the third time in a row, Tesa receives the gold medal and is one of the top 2% of all globally rated companies with the score achieved
  • Clear progress: 39% fewer CO₂ emissions (SCOPE 1+2) since 2018 and 90% renewable electricity as the basis for climate-neutral production by 2030

Tesa, international manufacturer of innovative adhesive tapes and self -adhesive product solutions, has been recognized by two leading organizations for outstanding sustainability achievements. CDP, the world’s largest platform for environmental data, rated Tesa’s climate protection measures again with top grade A. At the same time, Tesa received the coveted gold status of Ecovadis for the third time in a row. These top assessments underline the effectiveness of the holistic sustainability strategy “WE do” and confirm Tesa’s leading role in the sustainable transformation of the industry.

Sustainability ratings as a strategic compass

The top positions on CDP and Ecovadis are not only recognition for what has been achieved so far, but also serve as an important indicator for Tesa’s ambitious sustainability goals. With the CDP A-Rating in the area of climate protection, TESA is one of the only two percent of the globally rated companies that take on a pioneering role. The Ecovadis Gold Status, which was awarded again, also confirms the excellent performance in the areas of environmental management, sustainable supply chains, working conditions and ethics.

“We look forward to the award with Bestnote A in the CDP rating and the Ecovadis gold medal. You confirm our progress in various sustainability areas,” explains Dr. Ingrid Sebald, technology officer at Tesa. “While the CDP rating honors our success in emission reduction, the Ecovadis gold status also emphasizes our services in the areas of sustainable supply chains, working conditions and ethics. Both awards manifest the effectiveness of our holistic sustainability strategy and motivate us to continue to develop innovative solutions that go beyond legal requirements and make TESA a pioneer in terms of sustainability.”

Concrete progress and transparency on the way to climate neutrality

As part of the “We Do” strategy, Tesa is aiming for a climate-neutral production by 2030, with 39% fewer CO₂ emissions (SCOPE 1+2) since 2018 and 90% renewable electricity. At the same time, the company promotes transparency in the supply chain through Ecovadis self-ratings, with 70% of raw material expenses already going to suppliers with proven sustainability standards. These independent ratings strengthen the trust of stakeholders and provide valuable knowledge to continuously improve sustainability.
