The focus of the work discussions is on how we can strengthen our competitiveness. This topic forms the thematic focus of the meeting. Following the working discussions, the finance minister and the finance ministers will hold a joint press conference.
The focus is on those topics that are crucial to further expanding the competitiveness of our economy and not losing out on international location competition. This includes financing the green transformation of the economy, which can only be achieved by mobilizing private capital and making the capital market more attractive. Other important topics include reducing bureaucracy, returning to sustainable budget and fiscal policy, expanding international tax justice and promoting Europe as a location for innovation and research.
