It’s bad when nightmares come true. It’s even worse when the band Rammstein appears in it. Four years ago, the singer, actress and author Christiane Rösinger wrote in a text for “Taz” about one of her last anxious dreams: “I’m playing in Rammstein… What do I have to do with them? … And this singer with his rape poems and the whole Nazi aesthetic. This goes against everything I stand for… Why am I taking part in this?”
Yes, why should she join in? Outside of her subconscious, the 63-year-old Rösinger is very much a woman of the situation and canceled a guest appearance in the new “Tatort” with Ulrich Tukur (director: Dietrich Brüggemann) via Facebook last Friday. The reason for this is that Rammstein keyboardist Christian “Flake” Lorenz is also supposed to play a small role in the same “Tatort”, which Rösinger only found out a week before her own appearance. She writes: »I didn’t know that and have now canceled. It’s a shame, I was looking forward to the shoot.”

It is foreseeable that this campaign will divide the social media sea. Some accuse Rösinger of fueling allegations that have not been proven in court, while others praise her as a “superhero” for her straightforwardness. For Rösinger, who was born in the Baden province (as seen from Berlin), it is not about Flake as an artist or about canceling the “Tatort” project, but rather about not being associated with the “Rammstein system”. how she explained her exit to “Spiegel”.
Rösinger, who once played in a Brüggemann “Tatort” and came to Berlin (West) in the mid-80s and founded the indie band Lassie Singers there, is known for being able to distinguish between attitude and opinion (“Some Things you’ll never understand/Diversity and gender theory/Others will take your places/They won’t be so white and male” from the song “What’s Coming Now” ).
The cancellation of the “Tatort” appearance comes right in the middle of the current production of the episode. You’ll definitely be able to find someone more supple quickly.
