Austria once again ends up in the absolute top field of Europe at the EuroSkills 2025 career championships in Denmark: Team Austria can celebrate a total of twelve medals: six times gold, three times silver and three times bronze!

The Upper Austrian cold and air conditioning technician Jonas Danninger fetches “Best of Nation” for the highest number of points of all Austrian participants. Styrian Leonie Tieber crowns the first European car technology champion ever. Team Austria also fetches 17 (!) Medallions for Excellence, these are performance diplomas that are awarded for top results behind the podium places.
Huge red-white-red enthusiasm in Herning: In front of more than 15,000 visitors, the Austrian national team of professions celebrates a historical appearance at the Euroskills 2025. As part of a spectacular final show in the Jyske Bank-Arena from Herning six gold, three silver and Three bronze medals To one of the most successful nations in Europe. The result was rounded off by 17 Medallions for Excellence, which are awarded for top performance directly behind the podium.
Gold for Upper Austria, Styria, Lower Austria, Vorarlberg and Tyrol
The figurehead of the Austrian team becomes Jonas formations from Herzogsdorf: Hauser’s cold and air conditioning technician in Linz not only fetches gold, but also the “Best of Nation” award with the highest red-white-red points. The European champion – and his coach and father Rupert formations – with it also continued a family success: Brother Niklas crowned himself in the European champion in 2023, Cousin Patrick was Vice World Champion in 2022.
Together with Jonas Danninger, five other specialists from Austria climb the top podium: Leonie Tieber From ÖAMTC Styria, the first woman triumphed in car technology. The 24-year-old Paldauerin-coached by expert Daniel Edlinger From Passail – impressively prevails against her exclusively male competition and crowns herself to the European champion.
A female specialist also prevails among the tilers: Sara Sinhuber From Lower Austria – employed by tiles & stoves riders – it also prevails sensationally. The 23-year-old Rastfelderin continued an impressive series: after gold at the 2022 World Cup, the EM 2023 and the 2024 World Cup, it is the fourth world and European championship title for the tilers in a row. For all four titles as an expert on board: Coach Andreas Stiegler From the Ramsau am Dachstein.
Elena Mathis from Hohenems in Vorarlberg – with expert Michaela Thalhammer -crowns in the hotel reception to the European champion. She is employed by “Gams for two” in Bezau. It is the fifth medal for Austria in this discipline, the third – after 2021 and 2023 – in series at Euroskills.
At the profession of sanitary and heating technology, Tyrol is allowed to cheer: Johannes GSTrein From St. Leonhard im Pitztal – he works at Grutsch Technik – also wins gold.
The concrete builders also get gold Lukas Miedler from Lower Austria and Lukas Ritzberger from Upper Austria. The duo sets in the team competition – coached by expert Thomas Prigl – An unmatched winning streak on World and Euroskills: Austria has been unbeaten in concrete construction since 2015.
Silver for Upper Austria, Vorarlberg and Salzburg
Martin Riegler From Schönau in the Mühlkreis, the podium is increasing in the plant electrics: The specialist of Voestalpine Stahl GmbH in Linz – with the Vorarlberg expert Max Meusburger – Secure the Vice -European title.
With him also cheers Markus Manser From Bezau in Vorarlberg: The floor layer at Stipo floors fetches silver and leaves coach Georg Spiegel cheer. Already in 2014, a Vorarlberger won a gold medal among the soil layers.
The trio is completed by Miriam Haider From Upper Austria and Theresa Fink from Salzburg, the fashion technology team competition-with expert Isabella Lindenbauer – conquer precious metal for Austria.
Bronze for Vienna, Styria and Upper Austria
Three bronze medals also go to Austria. The Viennese Tarik Begeta and Stefan Tompboth graduates of the HTL Rennweg, shine with their success in the IT network and system administration. They were from Christian Schöndorfer coached.
The Styrian Katharina HöllerPainter at the Peinthor company in Friedberg, also ensures red and white red and redes. For expert Christoph Pessl – Even Malerwelt and European champion- it is a total of a medal number five, the third as an expert.
