On Saturday morning, the Wandel party put up a giant banner at Benko’s Lamarr luxury department store on Mariahilfer Strasse, which pilloried Benko, Kurz and Co.
Vienna (OTS) – What was sold to people as a future luxury department store is now an abandoned shell: Benko’s Lamarr department store on Vienna’s Mariahilfer Straße. “This is unbelievable – simply a scandal. The richest people in Austria are doing this together with the politicians and if they go bankrupt, society has to step in and save them again. This has to finally end. We are not the milk cow for the rich and theirs Politician”
said Wandel chairman Fayad Mulla. That’s why the party protested against it on Saturday morning and decorated the abandoned, half-built building with a clear banner: “Everything has to go: Kurz – Benko – Kickl – Sobotka – Dichand – Fellner – Nehammer. We need space for decency and democracy.”
According to Mulla, the bankruptcy scandal surrounding René Benko shows that it is time for a change of course: “We live in a system in which the most corrupt, greedy and dishonest people are at the top of society. We all pay the price for this with our tax money, with our democracy, our freedom of the press and our future and that of our children. It is therefore “More than time for a change of course and a new social and economic order in which people, animals and planet come first.”
