The implementation of the EU-wide NIS2 directive, which provides comprehensive measures for cybersecurity for companies in critical and important sectors, poses major challenges. In order to effectively support in compliance with the legal requirements, the UBIT association in the Austria Chamber of Commerce offers a new qualification through its UBIT education academy Incite: accreditation for “Accredited NIS Expert”.
“With the NIS2 legislation, the pressure on companies increases to professionalize their security measures. At the same time, however, there are no clear criteria for qualified advice in many places. This is exactly where our new accreditation comes in,” says Alfred Harl, chairman of the UBIT association.
Expertise in the subject of cybersecurity of great value
The focus of Nis2 in the federal division information and consulting mainly includes companies from the areas of management consultancy, accounting and IT, but also telecommunications, waste management, advertising or engineering offices. In these industries, the demand for professional advice on information security increases.
In order to meet this demand, cybersecurity workshops and webinars are already offered in six federal states. For this purpose, the offer “Accredited Nis Expert” was launched. Accredited Expert: In this way, certified and certified knowledge of network and information security demonstrates and can thus accompany even more effective in the implementation of legal requirements, strengthening cyber resilience and avoiding security incidents.

The “Accredited NIS Expert” program is aimed specifically at Expert: Inside, consultant: inside and IT service providers: Inside, which already have in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in information security. “In an increasingly digitized world, information security is no longer a purely technical challenge, but an integral part of every corporate strategy.
