The BÖTM destination network presents forward-looking repositioning with prominent support

Salzburg/Schladming (OTS) Salzburg, July 18, 2024 – The Austrian Destination Network (BÖTM) looks back on an extremely successful summer dialogue in the “Gusswerk” in Salzburg. The highlight of the event was the presentation of the repositioning of the network, which was also attended by Federal Minister Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Kocher congratulated. The well-known duo Stermann & Grissemann rounded off the evening with an excerpt from their program “Gags, Gags, Gags” and a discussion with tourism experts.

Dynamic exchange and prominent interviews

The summer dialogue offered an excellent platform for dialogue and the exchange of experiences among members. In a special round of discussions, the well-known moderators Stermann & Grissemann conducted an exciting interview with Ulrike Rauch-Keschmann – Head of Tourism at the BMAW and Mathias Schattleitner, BÖTM President and Managing Director of the Schladming-Dachstein Tourism Association. This lively discussion brought valuable insights and new perspectives for the positive future of Austrian tourism.

Presentation of the repositioning of the BÖTM destination network

The focus of the summer dialogue was the presentation of the repositioning of the BÖTM and the new self-image of the destination network.

“The challenges are growing. Our environment has evolved and so we continue to evolve. Today we are a powerful network that unites the interests of Austrian destinations. This change will also be reflected in the new appearance.”said BÖTM President Mathias Schattleitner.

Due to the increasing volatility and fast pace of the world, the challenges for tourism are growing. It is therefore important that the regions network more closely and that the industry acts together. The re-branding of the BÖTM as a representative of the interests of all Austrian tourism regions and associations creates a uniform identity. It strengthens cooperation between the regions, the Federal Ministry, Austrian Advertising and the state tourism organizations. The BÖTM no longer just represents individuals, but acts as a strong network and mouthpiece for the tourism regions and is therefore a central contact point for the entire tourism industry in Austria.

By adapting the name and corporate design, the BÖTM destination network is clearly positioning itself as a national authority that supports the exchange and knowledge transfer between all employees in the tourism associations and destination management organizations. This contributes to the efficient representation of tourism interests at state and federal level.

“The BÖTM has constantly developed over the years in a future-oriented manner and is now a powerful network: Through its comprehensive activities, it promotes the further development of tourism destinations and, as an interest group, supports the transfer of knowledge and networking among tourism professionals. This forward-looking view is also reflected in the current re-branding. Many thanks at this point for the joint and professional cooperation, which specifically contributes to strengthening tourism,” said Federal Minister Martin Kocher and State Secretary Susanne Kraus-Winkler.

The official presentation of the new name and the new appearance will take place at the BÖTM general meeting. This will be held on October 2, 2024 before the BÖTM top seminar in Velden am Wörthersee.
