New portal makes things easier for applicants. Zero tax rate replaces funding applications for private investments.
With the launch of the EAG portal, we are sending a strong signal for the expansion of renewable energies and the promotion of sustainable projects
Horst Brandlmaier and Gerhard Röthlin, OeMAG board
Vienna/Bregenz (OTS) – The federal government has made funding totaling 150 million available this year. 135 million of them for investment grants for photovoltaic systems. The investment grant regulates funding for PV systems up to 1000 kWp.
Due to the improvement of the funding system, the entire sales tax on private photovoltaic systems up to 35 kWp has been eliminated since January 1, 2024. As of this year, private individuals are no longer required to apply for funding and it is even easier for many people to do their part in the energy transition and invest in the future.
As in previous years, there are funding calls for applications for companies and operators of large systems over 35 kWp. The first one started today on Monday. Almost 10,000 tickets were drawn in the first half hour. Due to the zero tax rate on sales tax, private system operators generally no longer need to submit an application. Therefore this number is lower than in previous years.
As the central processing point for renewable energy subsidies, OeMAG makes a significant contribution to promoting the expansion of renewable energy in Austria in a service-oriented and competent manner and to shaping a sustainable energy future.
The new, user-friendly EAG portal was available for the first time during this funding call. “With the launch of the EAG portal, we are sending a strong signal for the expansion of renewable energies and the promotion of sustainable projects
“, emphasize the two OeMAG board members Horst Brandlmaier and Gerhard Röthlin.
Another innovation is that companies can now also submit the funding application after the work has begun – provided that the first valid application is for the specific system before commissioning of the system.
The funding call is open until April 29, 2024. You can complete your application by then. The next PV funding call starts on June 12, 2024.
