Successful premiere for “ORF asks”

More than 90,000 took part in the ORF online survey

Vienna (OTS) ORF asked and Austria answered! In the last three weeks, from February 14th to March 6th, 2024, the ORF conducted an accompanying survey on ORFfragt.at to research the audience’s attitudes towards everyday topics and met with a great response: a total of more than 90,000 people took part “ORF asks” took part. The campaign, which was carried out for the first time this year, is part of a dialogue offensive by the ORF, which aims to strengthen contact with the country’s citizens. The project is scientifically supported by the renowned opinion research institute INTEGRAL, which has now begun evaluating the responses received. Central results will be presented on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 9:05 p.m. by Mariella Gittler in “ORF 1 Special: How is Austria doing? ORF asks”. Further evaluations of all 32 questions will then be published on the project website.

Weißmann: “Great interest as an order!”

General Director Mag. Roland Weißmann, who called on the audience to take part at the start of the campaign, is pleased with the successful premiere: “As ‘ORF for everyone’, we want to enter into dialogue with the whole of Austria, reach out more to our audience and help the citizens Listen more closely to citizens in our country. I am all the more pleased that more than 90,000 people actually accepted our invitation and took part in the first edition of ‘ORF asks’. I am overwhelmed by the amount of feedback and would like to thank all participants for the time they invested and for their trust. The ORF sees the great interest as a mandate to adequately reflect the diverse opinions of the population.”

Results in ORF 1 and online

On March 20th at 9:05 p.m. Mariella Gittler will present the central results of the major ORF survey in “ORF 1 Special: How is Austria doing? ORF asks.” The journalist and presenter gets to the bottom of the population’s answers and discusses them with experts in the studio. Several reports across Austria highlight topics that are of particular concern to many people at the moment, from affordable housing to the effects of climate change to dealing with inflation. The focus is on service information, best practice examples and practical tips for consumers in order to support the population in challenging times and open up new options for action. In parallel with the broadcast, the survey results will be published on the project website, where they will be accessible to everyone.
