Successful “Action Day Health 2025” of the Upper Austria Chamber of Pharmacists

Under the motto “Information, testing and preventing”, the popular campaign day of the health chamber of Upper Austria took place again this year in the ORF State Studio OÖ. More than 600 visitors: Interior found out about the broad range of services of public pharmacies in Upper Austria and after the official opening by Deputy Governor Mag. Christine Haberlander used the opportunity for various health checks on site.

Important prevention work in the pharmacy

There was great interest in the health checks on site. Regardless of whether vitamin D status, cholesterol or blood sugar levels: the visitors were enthusiastic about the free test options. Some vitamin D deficiency was discovered and further clarification was recommended directly with increased blood sugar levels.

“Prevention is the catchphrase in the health sector and the almost 1,000 pharmacists in Upper Austria know exactly which measures are important for even more health care. Various tests in the pharmacies can be recognized at an early stage and so ideally the outbreak of an illness is prevented,” says Mag. Pharm. Tips and expertise from many health areas

Expert: Inside from a wide variety of health areas gave practical tips on nutrition, movement and lifestyle. So stood at Univ.-Prof. Dr. Martin Clodi (Merciful Brothers Conventional Hospital and Cholesterol Alliance) focus on diabetes and cholesterol. Prim. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Kurt Rützler (Clinic Linz Elisabethinnen) took the visitor: inside the “fear of anesthesia in old age”. In the afternoon, the visitors learned: Inside the latest vitamin D and bone health from Dr. Max Sonnleitner (Gens -Speed ​​Biotech) as well as informative things about the metabolic syndrome by Mag. Maria Auzzinger Bakk (FH Health Professions OÖ GmbH).
