Over 20 Styrian pop artists pooled their talents to record a song to mark “100 Years of Caritas”. Created: A song of helpfulness and commitment.
Graz (OTS) – “Solidarity” is the result of creative collaboration between Styrian pop musicians from a wide variety of styles who have made their time and skills available to draw attention to the work of Caritas Steiermark. At the same time, the song is a statement and call for social cohesion. “Because together everything is better – with solidarity,” the text says.
The text comes from the songwriter Christian Diver (alter, ego!), who himself works for Caritas Steiermark. Draws as a composer Klaus Downer responsible for the melody, the arrangement and the entire production. For the recordings Max Biederguitarist and producer of Alle Statt, made his recording studio in Thal/Graz available free of charge.
A colorful mix of solidarity
“We would like to thank all artists and supporters involved for their generosity and commitment. “Solidarity” is not just a song for our anniversary; it is a strong and audible sign that we are creating a better world together in which a good life can be achieved for everyone”
so Nora Tödtling-Musenbichlerdirector of Caritas Steiermark, who also sang in the choir together with some other Caritas employees.
“The Styrian pop scene is colorful and the voices and instruments on the recording are just as colorful. From chart-toppers like Alle Aktuell, indie greats like Norbert Wally from The Base, the vocal wonders The Schick Sisters to the dialect pop band Solarkreis and Pouria “Shahrirad, an Iranian opera tenor from the Musigranten, stretches the bow. I think we succeeded in creating harmony in the song on the one hand and on the other hand also providing three minutes of variety.”
says producer Klaus Downerwho also recorded bass and acoustic guitar.
(Musical) Team Charity
The name of the musician collective that sang “Solidarity”, namely “Team Next Love”, was borrowed from a special Caritas initiative: The “Team Next Love” of Caritas Steiermark, as part of the volunteer management, brings people, who need help, together with those who want to help voluntarily! Whether everyday accompaniment or neighborhood help, those seeking help quickly receive support and volunteers can easily help. The options for help are diverse, including getting groceries and medication, accompanying people to doctors and authorities, help with the operation of technical devices such as cell phones, computers, televisions, support with manual work and transport.
