Student union provides 79% of the federal student representative

In the past three weeks, the elections to the state student representative representative for the school year 2025/26 have been held all over Austria. Under the common nationwide motto “#feelings?” Ten teams of the student union in the areas of general education higher schools (AHS), vocational middle and higher schools (BMHS), vocational schools (BS) and central teaching institutions (ZLA) competed for cross -school representation.

The student union again managed to secure most mandates in the over -school representations with a superior lead. In the state student representatives of the nine federal states, the student union 125 out of 163 mandates secured, at the level of the Federal Student Representation there are 23 out of 29.

With over 30,000 members, the student union is the largest student organization in Austria, in which the members volunteer. Due to its diverse range of services, such as school law calls and various further training, it is considered an important point of contact for pupils. In addition, she brings her demands in the Federal Student Representation (BSV), in which she places 23 of 29 mandates in the school year 2025/26.
