Vienna (OTS) – “It is good that Media Minister Susanne Raab has ensured fee transparency. However, imbalances are now becoming visible. The exorbitant salaries at ORF must come to an end. It is up to the ORF leadership to clarify who approved these dream salaries and how they came about. ORF General Director Weißmann has to clean up these salary excesses. In addition, part-time jobs also have to be questioned: Is it really necessary for ORF top earners to receive additional income in addition to their exorbitantly high salaries, for example by writing a book and then advertising it for free on ORF? Is the additional income compatible with the full-time job at ORF? How is the necessary independence guaranteed? More transparency is necessary in these questions,” explains Christian Stocker, General Secretary of the People’s Party.
