Stocker ad press hour: “People’s Party and Lopatka want to further develop Europe positively”

Reinhold Lopatka reiterated his call for asylum procedures in third countries in the ORF press hour – for a strong Austria in a strong Europe

Vienna (OTS) “As a people’s party, we want to develop Europe positively. Our top candidate Reinhold Lopatka also made this clear in today’s ORF press hour. Austria has benefited from joining the EU like no other country and this path to success must be continued. At the same time, there are still many construction sites at the European level that have a direct impact on the national level. For example, it is about the need for asylum procedures in third countries and more consistent external border protection. Austria has initiated a trend reversal at the European level, which must now be consistently continued with the Asylum and Migration Pact. At the same time, we owe it to our economy and our population to increase the potential for prosperity by, on the one hand, pushing back excessive regulations and, on the other hand, further harmonizing the European internal market,” commented General Secretary of the People’s Party, Christian Stocker, on the appearance of the EU top candidate of the People’s Party, Reinhold Lopatka, in the ORF press hour.

“It’s good to have Reinhold Lopatka, a European politician who is clearly committed to Europe, but also knows that it is necessary to improve Europe. This is a mix that we completely miss from the other candidates in Austria. Because while the FPÖ is putting all of our prosperity at risk by flirting with Öxit, other parties, like the SPÖ, seem to be going to Brussels to approve all the EU Commission’s guidelines, whether they make sense or not,” says Stocker, who concludes by emphasizing: “The Austrians deserve representation in Brussels that makes serious politics and represents Austria with a strong voice. And this strong voice can only be the People’s Party. Because the People’s Party is and remains the European Party in Austria.”
