Stephanie Geier becomes the new second managing director

Stephanie Geier, 40, becomes second managing director of the Austrian section of Amnesty International. She succeeds Aurélie Tournan in this role and has been leading the international human rights organization in Austria together with Shoura Zehetner-Hashemi in the already known dual management since the beginning of the year.

Stephanie Geier has been working at Amnesty International in Austria for 12 years and most recently successfully built and led the organization’s marketing and communications team. In her current role, she will be primarily responsible for internal agendas, including communications & mobilization, human resources and finance. Zehetner-Hashemi continues to be responsible for external appearance as spokesperson.

Stephanie Geier studied marketing and sales management and is trained in political communication. She has a profound knowledge of the NGO scene in Austria and has professional experience in the NGO and profit sectors.
