STELLANTIS AUSTRIA – Results 2024

Markus Wildeis, Managing Director of Stellantis, provided information at today’s annual press conference Austria, on topics such as the Stellantis Austria results 2024, current challenges in the market, the Stellantis platform strategy, the planned model offensive and the strong Stellantis presence in Austria and also gave an outlook for the year 2025.

The automotive industry is going through a phase of profound change. New technologies, tightening CO2 limits and changing customer needs are shaping the market and require innovative solutions. Additional challenges include, among other things, the aftereffects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the pressure to transform and the push by Chinese competitors onto the European market. Stellantis faces these challenges with a clear plan to make individual, sustainable, affordable and future-oriented mobility available to everyone.

In 2024, electric and hybrid vehicles continued to gain in importance, underlining the paradigm shift in the automotive industry towards more sustainable and lower-emission mobility solutions. Meeting the ambitious CO2 targets in 2025 requires an even faster switch to low-emission vehicles. At the same time, the pressure to promote innovations in the areas of improving efficiency and alternative drives is increasing.

Stellantis is well positioned in this regard with, among other things, the newly developed multi-energy platforms. In addition, Stellantis Austria, with its iconic brands Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep®, Opel and Peugeot, as well as the electric car brand Leapmotor, which has just launched in Austria, will bring a total of 28 new vehicle models onto the market over the course of the year. With this model offensive, the omnichannel program designed for digitalization for an even better customer experience, as well as a network of 172 retail partners and 481 service locations, Stellantis Austria wants to achieve an extremely successful second half of 2024 with a market share of 12 percent in the overall market(1) build on this and come a big step closer to the medium-term goal of 15 percent market share.

Markus WILDEIS, Managing Director Stellantis Austria, on the goals for 2025: “In 2025 we want to continue our successful path. Together with our retail and service partners, we want to further increase customer satisfaction. The goal is to become number 1 in customer satisfaction. We will also be CO2 compliant, which requires that 25 percent of the vehicles sold be purely electric vehicles. So our goal is an electric share of 25 percent in sales. And our third goal is to achieve a total market share (cars + commercial vehicles) of 15 percent by the end of 2025. The framework conditions for this were created in 2024. Now it’s all about implementation. I am confident that together with our partners as the Stellantis family we will achieve our goals.”
