Since the state road B 6 in the open -air area between the Eichenbrunn and Klement at a total length of around 800 meters or on a total area of around 5,200 square meters had numerous lane damage such as settlements, tracks and outbreaks as well as lack of grip, the state of Lower Austria has decided to renew the section using a so -called cement stabilization. The road is frequented in this area with an average traffic volume of around 4,000 vehicles a day.
As a first step, the crushed road edges were reinforced or renewed with unattached supporting layer. After milling and the planning of the asphalt layers, the additional material was applied, which was milled together with the unbound layer of support and with the angry cement and was compressed to a layer that was 25 centimeters thick. On this, an eight centimeter thick bituminous base layer and a three -centimeter thick bituminous cover layer were applied.
The road master was reinforced by the Laa road maintenance department on the Thaya. The production of the cement -stabilized supporting layers including the referral material and the hot mixing goods were carried out by the Held+Francke company under a roadblock in a construction period of three weeks. The road maintenance department Laa an der Thaya was restored to the road equipment and the adaptation of the banquets to the new stock. The cost of the road renewal was around 340,000 euros, which were borne by the state of Lower Austria.
