The increasing lack of doctors in Austria meets Danube Private University (DPU) with a clear order: it trains committed doctors professionally and at the same time creates a learning environment that is characterized by a family atmosphere and individual care. This sets a strong sign as an educational and future engine in the healthcare system.
“The strong ones are challenged on the DPU and promoted the weak,” says study group spokesman Matthias Schöberl the learning climate. The lessons take place in small groups, with a lot of space for discussions and individual care. “We have a school -like company,” adds study group spokeswoman Anna Peter from Wiener Neustadt. “You know each other, help each other – you are not a number here, but a person.”
The DPU not only promotes medical knowledge, but also scientific thinking. “We learn to present and defend our results – I personally like that very much,” says student Leela Reiter. In this way, the students are not only prepared for everyday clinical life, but also for international congresses and research projects.
