Vienna (OTS) – Whether crime, tragic or social comedy – the “Sommerkino” on ORF 1 and on ORF ON promises the finest feature film entertainment when the German-language free TV premieres of “Included” take place every Monday between July 8th and August 26th, 2024 at 8:15 p.m Society” with Florian David Fitz and Anke Engelke, “Contra” with Christoph Maria Herbst, “Rehragout-Rendezvous” with “Eberhofer” Sebastian Bezzel, Milan Peschel as “Beckenrand Sheriff” or “The Kitchen Brigade” and “My terribly spoiled family”. are part of the program.

“Included Society” (Monday, July 8th, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1)
It should have been a quiet evening after work, but instead six teachers suddenly find themselves involved in an attack: When an over-motivated father tries to blackmail his son for the last point he is missing for his school-leaving certificate, he locks them in a room to deal with his concerns to solve. What begins as a discussion about school grades increasingly develops into a conversation about the personal depths of the individual teachers. The German film comedy by Sönke Wortmann is based on the radio play of the same name by Jan Weiler. In addition to Florian David Fitz, Anke Engelke, Justus von Dohnányi, Nilam Farooq, Thomas Loibl, Thorsten Merten, Torben Kessler and many more are also part of the well-known cast.
“Contra” (Monday, July 15th, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1)
When the cynical law professor Richard Pohl insults the Moroccan freshman Naima in class, he doesn’t expect the videos of the scene to go viral. In order to improve his chances in the impending disciplinary proceedings, he sees only one way out: under pressure from the university president, he begins coaching the student for a nationwide debate competition. The clever plan seems to work – but only until Naima gets wind of it. After “The First Name,” director Sönke Wortmann once again staged a French comedy hit full of punchlines and adapted it for a German-speaking audience. Included:

“Rehragout-Rendezvous” (Monday, July 22nd, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1)
The popular Eberhofer crime series is entering the next round:
“Steckerlfischfiasko” is scheduled to hit theaters in summer 2026. Before that, the German-language free TV premiere of the ninth part entitled “Rehragout-Rendezvous” is on the program on ORF 1: Chaos breaks out at the Eberhofer-Hof after Grandma decides to retire. In addition, Susi takes on the role of deputy for the mayor and thus pressures Franz to only work part-time and look after his son Pauli. A missing person case that develops into a complex murder case comes in handy for Franz. There again: Sebastian Bezzel, Simon Schwarz, Lisa Maria Potthoff, Eisi Gulp, Enzi Fuchs and many more.
“Beckenrand Sheriff” (Monday, August 12th, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1)
Swimming stop instead of cool water: When the local outdoor pool is to be closed, the unpopular swimming master Karl Kruse sees not only his job but also his apartment in danger. The only way out? To prevent the demolition, the grumpy swimming master teams up with a group of locals and has to learn to use his charm. However, the project turns out to be more turbulent than planned. In the charming film comedy by Marcus H. Rosenmüller, Milan Peschel, Sebastian Bezzel and Dimitri Abold are also part of the top-class ensemble.
“The Kitchen Brigade” (Monday, August 19th, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1)
The dream of owning her own restaurant seems to be dashed when chef Cathy Marie has to give up her job at a award-winning restaurant. Instead, she takes a job as a canteen cook in a refugee home for minors. However, when Cathy wants to help the young people, she encounters resistance and unexpected challenges. The French tragicomedy by Louis-Julien Petit stars Audrey Lamy and François Cluzet, among others.
“My terribly spoiled family” (Monday, August 26th, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1)
Luxury, glitz and glamor are over when successful businessman Francis Bartek decides to teach his already grown, spoiled children a lesson. In order to encourage the young people to become more independent, they pretend to be broke and, on top of that, to be wanted by the police. The French director Nicolas Cuche stages the remake of a Mexican comedy with punchlines and humorously depicts the extreme contrasts between the dream world of the rich and the real world. Featuring: Gérard Jungot, the comedian Artus, Camille Lou, Louka Meliava and many others.
