Tension with a wink is the order of the day from November 4th, 2024 at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 1 series Monday and from November 3rd on ORF ON, because “Quickly Determined” is back – in double episodes! After the great investigative success of the seventh season, Ursula Strauss and Wolf Bachofner go back to being private investigators and not only have to deal with a challenging assignment situation, but also with a turbulent private life – and Angelika’s adversary Colonel Schuster (Markus Hering) is also busy again in his element.
In addition to the duo Strauss and Bachofner, Andreas Lust and Katharina Straßer as well as Morteza Tavakoli, Simon Morzé, Fiona Hauser, Patrick Seletzky and Markus Hering can be seen in other roles in the eight 45-minute episodes. The episode roles are also prominently cast, including Nils Arztmann, Selina Graf, Miriam Hie, Proschat Madani, Reinhard Nowak, Hertha Schell, Annika Wonner and Julia Wozek. The “Quickly Determined” experts Michi Riebl and Gerald Liegel directed the film based on scripts by Verena Kurth, Katharina Hajos and Constanze Fischer, Stefan Hafner and Thomas Weingartner and – for the first time – Brigitta Kanyaro. Filming in Vienna and the surrounding area took place from March to August 2023. “Kottan investigates” also at 10:05 p.m. on ORF 1 in “Hartlgasse 16a” at the Dacapo start of the red-white-red classic series.

The artist Linda van Doren (Proschat Madani) keeps seeing an unknown man in her dreams – this disrupts her creative work. She tasks Angelika (Ursula Strauss) and Franitschek (Wolf Bachofner) with finding out who it is. The unknown man appears to be the recently deceased victim of a car accident. Angelika is not satisfied with this information, and in fact: there is much more behind the alleged accident. So much so that Angelika risks her life.

Chimney sweeps find an old opera watcher in the laundry’s stovepipe. The item was stolen from pop icon Raja at a surprise concert in the 1990s. Caretaker Rudolf Faden (Reinhard Nowak) is an ardent admirer of Raja and really wants to buy the peephole from Angelika and Franitschek. But Angelika first wants to know what exactly happened back then – and in the process reveals a whole family drama.
