Munich (ots) – The Wollnys are returning to TV screens: Germany’s most popular extended family is providing even more excitement in the 16th season. The center of life for the head of the family, Silvia, her partner Harald, Silvia’s daughters, their partners and seven grandchildren is the house in Ratheim. There will be a quadruple baptism, a wedding planned and jealousy also plays a role. “The Wollnys – A Terribly Big Family” will air on RTLZWEI from March 6, 2024, every Wednesday at 8:15 p.m.

The new season starts with a challenge: a heat wave and power outages in the holiday home in Ilica, Turkey, are causing problems for the family. Without electricity and functioning air conditioning, heating the baby bottles for the little ones, the newborn Hope and her cousin Aurelio, is not possible and poses problems for the extended family in everyday life.
Back in Germany, the family is planning several family celebrations in parallel: Hope Angel is to be baptized together with Lavinia and Tim’s children and Loredana and Servet’s son. Planning the quadruple baptism requires enough preparation time, and as if this challenge wasn’t stressful enough, there are also arguments between the sisters. In the midst of the chaos, Lavinia and Tim are also planning their civil wedding. The two would like to say their vows in November and all Wollny family members are already looking forward to this day. Is the couple getting ahead of themselves by planning two large family celebrations so quickly after each other?
Meanwhile, Estefania and Ali are struggling with the long-distance relationship between Germany and Turkey. In addition, jealousy keeps the 21-year-old in its grip. Since Ali is still waiting for his visa, living together permanently in Germany seems impossible for the time being. Can their love withstand this strain?
