On Valentine’s Day, the focus was on love for Vienna and Simmering: The SPÖ Simmering celebrated the ceremonial opening of its new district organization on February 14. There were numerous members and prominent guests from Vienna Social Democracy, including the SPÖ Vienna State Party Chair and Mayor Dr. Michael Ludwig, SPÖ Vienna State Party Secretary Barbara Novak, MA and district party chairman GR Rudi Kaske. The new district organization is intended to serve as a modern center for political work, exchange and citizen -related initiatives in Simmering. ***
“The new district organization of the SPÖ Simmering is a strong sign of the social cohesion and the commitment of our movement. Here politics is made for people – for a Simmering that remains affordable, worth living and solidarity, ”emphasized Ludwig in his speech.
The event was a complete success – the new party office was filled to the last seat with more than 200 guests. The many members present took the opportunity to exchange ideas with the political representatives: to exchange inside and to celebrate the importance of the new premises.
“Simmering is a district with a great social democratic tradition and future. With the new district organization, we create an open point of contact for all people who want to work for a fairer society, ”said Barbara Novak.
District party chairman Rudi Kaske was also pleased: “Our movement is strong and lively – the many members showed this impressively that evening. Simmering needs a strong SPÖ that is committed to fair working conditions, affordable living and a social infrastructure. This is exactly what we will continue to pursue here with full strength. “
With the opening of the new district organization, the SPÖ Simmering underlines its claim to be close to people and to work with them on a social and future -proof design of the district.
