SPÖ leader Babler: “We will rebuild this republic in all its dignity and pride – we are ready!”
Vienna (OTS/SK) – The SPÖ candidate lists for the 2024 National Council election were approved by the delegates of the SPÖ Federal Party Council with a large majority today, Saturday. SPÖ federal party leader Andreas Babler was confirmed as the top candidate with almost 90 percent. The SPÖ’s regional and state lists were also confirmed with a large majority. Babler thanked the delegates for the result of the list vote: “I am pleased that the federal list was unanimously accepted by the federal committees yesterday and once again impressively confirmed by you today. Thank you very much!” said Babler, who emphasized: “We are ready! We will rebuild this republic in all its dignity and pride, from the big city to Lake Constance, and look forward with heart and brain – together with you!” **** (End) ls/mb
