Vienna (OTS/SK) – At the SPÖ Federal Party Council under the motto “With heart and brain for Austria” in Wieselburg today, Saturday, the regional party chairman of the SPÖ Lower Austria Sven Hergovich and the SPÖ mayor of Wieselburg Josef Leitner gave the welcoming speeches. “For us there is only one direction, and that is: forward, together with our party leader Andi Babler,” said Hergovich. With a reference to the local brewery, SPÖ Mayor Leitner welcomed the federal party council to his red municipality, which is known for a “high level of maturity in the art of brewing and a high level of maturity for a change in direction for social justice”. ****
Sven Hergovich said that he is currently hearing two messages in particular when he is out and about: People want inflation to be combated and for there to be no more arguments. Just recently, a young mother told him that her washing machine had broken and she was ashamed of not being able to pay for the repairs. For Hergovich it is clear: “It should not be the case that the hard-working population is ashamed and not the federal government, which is responsible for it.”
Hergovich referred to the red election successes that had recently been achieved in Lower Austria, such as the Chamber of Labor elections, in which the FSG Lower Austria was once again able to “make significant gains,” and reiterated: “We will take this tailwind with us for the next elections.” Hergovich concluded : “We will do everything we can to achieve the best possible result in the next elections by working together.
