Social Democrats prevail in Istanbul, Ankara and other major cities; SPÖ congratulates on political change in Turkey
Vienna (OTS) – SPÖ federal manager Sandra Breiteneder congratulates the social democratic sister party CHP on the great electoral successes in the local elections in Turkey: “The elections show that the AKP’s politics in Turkey have reached their limits.” Under the difficult circumstances of high inflation and difficult economic conditions situation, the people in Turkey would have sent a clear signal for a political change. “I hope that this change will lead to social and democratic politics being made for the people again,” concluded Breiteneder.
