The fourth edition of the Spark Art Fair Vienna continues to focus on its globally unique concept with its around 90 solo presentations: the same exhibition areas for all artists enable democratic access to contemporary art. Due to this clear focus on individual positions, the Spark Art Fair Central Platform for current and emerging voices in the art world.
Innovations and priorities 2025
In 2025, digital art is said to play an even more important role in Spark. Already this year with works from Refik Anadol, Tim Berresheim and Signe Pierce, digital highlights could be seen at the fair. In the upcoming edition, this focus will be further reinforced. In addition, interactive “digital activations” and participatory performances in the Globe Theater of the Wiener Marx Halle are planned. These immersive art experiences are accompanied by panels and events. As already in 2024, there is again the curated film program and prominent discussion rounds on current topics from the art world.
Curated experience by renowned experts: inside
The experienced curator: interior team consisting of Christoph Doswald (Zurich), Jan Gustav Fiedler (Berlin/Vienna), Marina Fokidis (Athens) and Walter Seidl (Vienna) invites galleries from five continents to present a variety of artistic perspectives in Vienna. The selection not only offers renowned positions, but also exciting new discoveries that represent the wide range of contemporary art. The trade fair concept makes the respective presentation areas for the artists and the visitors: inside to 90 solo exhibitions, bundled in the unique architecture of the Marx Halle. The Spark Art Fair Vienna has thus established itself as a fixed date for collectors: inside, art institutions and those interested in art worldwide.
Advisingly accompanies the extended one „Honorary Board“ The curator: interior team. This is with representatives: leading international galleries, institutions and collectors: occupied inside. Current members are the galleries Fonti (Naples) with Giangi Fonti, Konrad Fischer (Berlin/Düsseldorf) with Claudia Pasko, next to St. Stephan (Vienna) with Rosemarie Schwarzwälder, W & K (Vienna) with Lui Wienerroither, PSM (Berlin) with Sabine Schmidt, Dirimart (Istanbul) with Levent Özmen, Reservoir (Kapstadt) van der Merve and Heinrich Groenewald, Kates Ferri Projects (New York) with Natalie Kates and Fabrizio Ferri, as well as the Viennese collector couple Kathrin Weber and Axel Ander.
