“Soko Donau” returns to the screens on ORF 1 on February 6th

“Soko Donau – Chimera” at 8:15 p.m., then “Soko Kitzbühel” investigates a Dacapo in “offside”

Vienna (OTS) In the fall, the “Soko Donau” celebrated its anniversary with up to 593,000 spectators when it was called to its 250th mission. And in 2024, the top cops will be back in action with new episodes of the 18th season of the ORF/ZDF hit series! There will be a reunion with Brigitte Kren’s team (since season XIV) – Andreas Kiendl (since season XV), Martin Gruber (since season XVII), Lilian Klebow (since season I), Maria Happel (since season VI) and Helmut Bohatsch from February 6th on Tuesdays at 8:15 p.m. on ORF 1 and from 10:00 a.m. on ORF ON and in the TVthek app. At the start – in a case that is particularly difficult for Penny Lanz (Lilian Klebow) – a dead former used goods dealer and a complicated set of DNA clues cause headaches. The 18th season was directed by Sophie Allet-Coche, Katharina Heigl, Olaf Kreinsen and Eva Spreitzhofer. The scripts come from Michael Grießler, Natalia Geb, Sönke Lars Neuwöhner, Andreas Quetsch, Frank Weller, Markus Staender, Peter Dommaschk, Ralf Leuther, Martin Muser, Jens Schäfer, Sascha Bigler and Jessica Lind. Filming for the 19th round of the popular success has already been completed – the editions are expected to be shown on ORF 1 in 2024. Following the “Soko Donau” comeback, a reunion with “Soko Kitzbühel” is on the program at 9:05 p.m., when the team is called to investigate the “offside” of the football milieu.

“Soko Donau – Chimera” (Tuesday, February 6th, 8:15 p.m., ORF 1) With, among others, Andreas Kiendl, Martin Gruber, Lilian Klebow, Brigitte Kren, Maria Happel and Helmut Bohatsch as well as Margarethe Tiesel, Julia Jelinek, Georg Rauber, Till Firit , Oliver Karbus and Klara Marie Boltuch in episode roles; Director: Sophie Allet-Coche

The former used goods dealer Alois Laubner (Oliver Karbus) lies dead in his study; there was apparently an exchange of fire with a burglar before his death. His granddaughter Isa (Klara Marie Boltuch) initially seems to have disappeared. Much to the team’s relief, she reappears. She was hiding in the house and is now an important witness. The crime scene traces lead to a shaman, but he has a watertight alibi. However, he is registered as a bone marrow donor and that changes the DNA evidence. And not only Isa, but also Penny Lanz (Lilian Klebow) is suddenly in great danger.

“Soko Donau” is a production by SATEL Film in collaboration with ORF and ZDF, made with the support of Fernsehenfonds Austria, Filmfonds Wien, the state of Lower Austria as well as the Cinestyria Filmcommission and Fonds and the Film Commission Graz.

“Soko Kitzbühel – Offside” (Tuesday, February 6th, 9:05 p.m., ORF 1) With, among others, Jakob Seeböck, Julia Cencig, Ferry Öllinger, Veronika Polly, Andrea L’Arronge, Heinz Marecek and Felix Kreutzer as well as Karl Fischer and Fanny Krausz in an episodic role; Director: Michi Riebl

The day after his bachelor party, footballer Vinzent Ebner is found dead in the swimming pool by Walter Koreth (Karl Fischer). And not only that, his body is stuck in a pillory. Nina (Julia Cencig) and Lukas (Jakob Seeböck) begin their investigation into the Kitzbühel football milieu. Daniela (Fanny Krausz), the bride-to-be, also turns out to be a tough manager and player’s wife. Meanwhile, the investigation is shaken by Kroisleitner and Tobias’ car accident, which will have serious consequences.

“Soko Kitzbühel” is a co-production between ORF and ZDF, produced by Gebhardt Productions.
