Market share winner among young people for the third time, online usage has already increased by 50 percent
Vienna (OTS) – The ORF “Beasts” fan base continues to grow: So far, a total of 1.344 million people in Austria have seen the “Beasts” on TV alone since its launch (widest circle of viewers).
If you take into account linear and online usage since the series premiere on January 1, 2024, the first two “Beast” episodes have already recorded 585,000 and 515,000 viewers respectively. Episodes 3 and 4 currently have a reach of 430,000 and 400,000 respectively, and the trend is increasing thanks to online usage.
And yesterday, on March 4th, the “Beasts” with episodes 5 and 6 were the clear number one among young viewers with a market share of up to 17 percent (ages 49 and under).
A total of 612,000 fans attended the “Beast” evening when the two episodes were broadcast on TV yesterday (widest circle of viewers). Yesterday’s overnight teletest numbers (299,000 and 300,000 for E12+) once again exclusively reflect the part of TV usage that was achieved yesterday and only in a linear manner. Including previous online usage – and still without subsequent usage – episodes 5 and 6 have so far reached around 400,000 per episode. And the same applies – there are more every day: since the TV launch on February 19th alone, online usage has increased by around 50 percent.
