SMATRICS ENBW opens further speed charging park in Italy

• Twelve ultra -fast charging points in Palmanova at the A4/A23 motorway junction near the Slovenian border

• Important quick charging nodes between Austria, Italy and Slovenia for travelers and international long distances

In terms of time before the holidays and the upcoming travel season, the leading operator of quick charging infrastructure for electric cars in Austria, Smatrics EnBW, puts his next quick-charging park in northern Italy into operation. The Palmanova location is located on the strongly frequented traffic hub with the two motorways A4 (Turin – Trieste) and A23 (Palmanova – Tarvis). In the future, it will offer travelers a powerful charging infrastructure – especially for connections between Austria, Italy and Slovenia.

The situation between Austria, Italy and Slovenia makes the location a real mobility node for sustainable travel-ideal for vacation travelers as well as for international long-distances”explains Thomas Landsbek, CEO of SMATRICS ENBW.

Twelve HPC loading points (High Power Charging) with up to 400 kilowatts are currently available. This means that – depending on the vehicle model – in only 15 Minister up to 400 kilometers of a range. For example, travelers can reach Venice, Florence or Munich without further charging stop. The location is also prepared for the future: an extension to additional charging points is already planned.

This means that 32 ultra -fast charging points from SMATRICS ENBW are currently available in northern Italy. Like all other SMATRICS EnBW loading parks, the location in Palmanova is operated with 100 percent renewable energy. Two other locations, each with 16 HPC loading points between Venice and Trieste and between Bergamo and Milan, are currently being planned. Like the SMATRICS EnBW locations in Austria, these locations are part of the EnBW Hypernetz.
