Signa Holding: Special administrator has sued auditor BDO

Serious allegations are made

Vienna/KURIER (OTS) There are legal repercussions in Signa Holding’s bankruptcy proceedings, as KURIER reports online and in Thursday’s print edition.
The renowned insolvency administrator Raoul Wagner, who was appointed as special administrator, makes serious allegations in the lawsuit against Signa’s annual auditor BDO. The 37-page lawsuit, which was served on the BDO on June 27th, is available to the KURIER. The essence of the matter is that Signa Holding’s auditor did not object to the allegedly prohibited return of deposits at Signa Holding in 2021 and 2022. Accordingly, the BDO is said to have not checked the balance sheets correctly. According to Wagner, Signa Holding’s over-indebtedness under insolvency law is said to have amounted to 384 million euros at the end of the 2021 financial year and even around 972 million euros at the end of the 2022 financial year.
