Sun, snow and reggae-vibes: At this year’s Top of the Mountain Easter Concert, the Idalp in Ischgl turned into a pulsating open-air arena full of energy and good mood on Easter Sunday. Thousands of winter athletes and music fans experienced a top -class musical spring on April 20, 2025 when superstar Shaggy stormed the stage with his world -famous hits. Embedded in the impressive backdrop of the Silvretta Arena, the concert became one of the most atmospheric highlights of the season.
In sunshine, mild temperatures at 2,320 meters and firn snow, the concert on the Idalp offered a spectacular combination of winter sports and Caribbean feeling. At 1 p.m. Shaggy started his set with the legendary “Boombastic” – and immediately tore the audience along. Whether “it wasn’t me”, “Angel”, “Oh Carolina” or newer tracks like “Go Down Deh”: The Jamaican delighted with an energetic show that was characterized by Caribbean lightness, musical precision and entertainment. Between his songs, Shaggy kept looking for contact with the audience, joked with the fans and spread his message: music is joy – and this joy was noticeable this afternoon on every square meter of the Idalp.
Great conditions and fantastic backdrop
Easter Sunday presented itself from its best side: the concert goers were able to experience the unique combination of mountain panorama, firnschnee and music enjoyment. The response to the concert was impressive: around 14,000 winter athletes enjoyed the musical experience on Idalp. With his rousing performance, he impressively demonstrated why he is one of the most successful reggae artists in the world.
Spring Blanc: music, sun and pure joie de vivre
This year’s Spring Blanc series has started brilliant with the opening concert by Andrea Berg. In the coming weeks, guests in Ischgl can also look forward to a varied event program that celebrates spring in all its facets. In addition to the highlight concert with Shaggy, the musical line-up continues top-class: On May 1st, Dimitri Vegas & Like will bring electronic festival feeling in the top of the mountain special festival feeling. The grand finale follows on May 3 with the Top of the Mountain Closing Concert, in which the US band Onerepublic will provide goosebumps moments. In between, the spring snow festival concert attracts on April 26 at Alp Trida with Melissa Nüschenweng, which guarantees mood with her mix of folk music, hit and pop. If you prefer to end the ski day relaxed, you should not miss the popular sun. With this year’s Spring Blanc again, Ischgl proves that spring in the mountains is not only a scenic but also a cultural experience.
