Grand Finale on May 31
Vienna (OTS) – The grand finale of the “Golden Note 2024” is getting closer! But before the glamorous classical show – initiated by Leona König, chairwoman of the International Music Association for the Promotion of Gifted Children (IMF) and presenter – takes place on ORF 2 on May 31st, the station will present on Whit Monday, May 20th, at 5:55 p.m Watch “The Golden Note – The Semifinals”. This shows the highlights of the audition held in Vienna on April 6th, where a top-class expert committee selected the nine best young musicians from a total of 18 approved applicants. Interviews with the young artists who talk about their experiences and expectations can also be seen.
The four-person expert jury consisted of: Nareh Arghamanyan, Armenian pianist who performs in the most important concert halls worldwide, Arno Steinwider, flautist and dean of music and art at the Private University of the City of Vienna (MUK) and artistic director of the Taggenbrunner Festival, Livia Sellin, German violinist Professorship for violin and chamber music at the MUK, as well as music producer, sound engineer and composer Dorothee Freiberger, known, among other things, as the producer of Conchita Wurst’s ESC winning title “Rise Like a Phoenix”. As a special guest, Simón Ibáñez, clarinetist and professor at the Vienna Academy of Music, attended the “Golden Note” audition to see for himself the skills of the young talents.
