The state of Vienna, i.e. the Viennese, bears 60 percent of the costs. “While patients are waiting for appointments for hours and nursing staff at the limit, the general directorate of the Vienna Health Association is apparently setting up luxury offices in the AKH,” criticizes Seidl.
“Not a single major project of the City of Vienna remains in the budget – whether KH Nord, U2/U5 expansion, Prater forecourt or bust terminal. The SPÖ does not have the handling of tax money under control and the Viennese debts increase immeasurably,” said the liberal health spokesman.
Seidl demands full transparency and external control of the construction costs: “These permanent and massive cost increases are exemplary for mismanagement in the area of the Ludwig-Spö. Immediate cost truth and finally an efficient handling of the tax money of the Viennese are needed.”
