LH Mikl-Leitner: Diverse program and news about organic gardening
St. Pölten (OTS) – “Just in time for the beginning of the warmer season, the time has come: THE GARTEN TULLN, the first purely ecologically designed and maintained garden show, is now open to all garden fans and those seeking relaxation every day until October 26th,” says State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner.
Visitors can get tips for their green living room on free tours today, Saturday, and tomorrow, Sunday. There is a colorful Easter program for children and families, including a puppet stage, face painting, making Easter pots and an Easter scavenger hunt through the model gardens. The restaurant DIE GAUMENWEIDE, which reopened under new tenants, can look forward to numerous reservations on the first weekend.
“The unique success story of GARTEN TULLN will continue in 2024. “On the opening weekend of the season, many visitors not only enjoy the splendor of spring flowers, but also experience a diverse program and learn new things about organic gardening,” said Mikl-Leitner at the opening of the season of the permanent state horticultural show.
The 70 lovingly and exclusively ecologically designed and maintained model gardens were supplemented by new highlights in 2024: In the new “Home Jungle”, special attention is paid to design options for terraces and interior areas – including a glass house with houseplants and a lounge area with lounge furniture. The adventure and nature playground has been expanded to include a motor skills area and now offers additional play and activity opportunities in the middle of nature. The rose garden has a new pavilion and the urban garden has also been completely redesigned.
“Our gardeners and our garden partners have once again spared no effort this year to create a top-class garden experience in the model gardens, to convey the latest findings, ideas and suggestions for your own oasis of well-being and to create additional attractions. We want to make the trip to the ‘Nature in the Garden’ adventure world a unique experience for the whole family, but also for anyone interested in gardening. We look forward to numerous visitors in the 2024 gardening season!” says Franz Gruber, Managing Director of GARTEN TULLN.
