Science Minister Martin Polaschek warmly congratulates Brigitte Hütter on her by-election as the new President of the Austrian University Conference (uniko).
Hütter, Rector of the Linz University of Art, is succeeding Oliver Vitouch and will represent the interests of Austrian universities in the future. Hütter had previously been chairman of uniko since the end of October.
“With Brigitte Hütter, an experienced and visionary leader is taking the helm of uniko. Their many years of expertise in university management and their commitment to innovative educational policy are a great enrichment for Austria as a science and university location,” emphasized Science Minister Martin Polaschek.
“I look forward to working with President Hütter and am convinced that she will provide important impetus to strengthen universities, promote excellent research and actively meet the challenges of the future,” the minister continued.
