Vienna (OTS) – AUGE/UG Vienna sounds the alarm: “While Bawag is cutting around 1,000 jobs from 2019 to 2022, CEO Anas Abuzaakouk is filling his pockets – his salary increased by four million!
says Vera Koller indignantly. “A year of work for employees, only 51 hours for the CEO – a shameful reality at a former union bank.
“
The AUGE/UG Vienna sharply criticizes the unequal appreciation of work: “Abuzaakouk’s 9 million could effectively support minimum pensions and poverty reduction. No responsibility justifies such salary differences!
“
AUGE/UG Vienna is calling for a drastic limit on management salaries: “At most three times an average annual salary, the direct passing on of the work success to the employees and a radical redistribution from top to bottom!
“
Finally, Koller emphasizes: “We set an example – at AUGE/UG everyone earns the same. Our working world does not live on fruit baskets and football tables as supposed benefits, but rather on fair working conditions and wages for a fair and ecological future that enable the best life.
