Rural areas make Bernhuber the emperor of preferential votes

32,658 preferential votes in Lower Austria for Bernhuber

St.Pölten (OTS) The young Mostviertler farmer Alexander Bernhuber, who made it into the EU Parliament in 2019 thanks to his strong preferential vote results, will continue to represent the interests of Austrian farmers in the EU as a member of parliament for the next five years. He achieved a real success with preferential votes in this EU election and was able to brilliantly confirm his entry into the EU Parliament with his personal success as the top candidate of the Farmers’ Association and received even more preferential votes than in 2019.

In an initial reaction, Bernhuber was convinced that the farmers’ association was setting the right issues in rural areas and the right demands for the farmers: “I was elected by the farming families to continue to represent their interests in the EU Parliament. I take on this task with joy and humility and would like to thank all supporters for this campaign and their personal trust in me.”

Bernhuber result gives courage and confidence

“The many preferential votes for Bernhuber represent a real ray of hope. In rural areas he is the clear preferential vote emperor with the most personal preferential votes of all parties. No candidate, regardless of party, received more votes in Lower Austria than Alexander Bernhuber. As a farmers’ association, this gives us courage and confidence and it is proof that hard work for the country and its people pays off and is rewarded by the voters,” said Lower Austrian Farmers’ Association Chairman LH-Deputy. Stephan Pernkopf and Lower Austrian Farmers’ Association director Paul Nemecek.

“On behalf of the Lower Austrian Farmers’ Association, we would like to thank everyone who has expressed their confidence in Alexander Bernhuber and the People’s Party, thereby enabling the farming families in our country to continue to have a strong voice for their interests in the EU Parliament,” said Pernkopf and Nemecek which would also like to thank all election workers and assessors for their important service in conducting the EU election.
