Richard Grasl, managing director of the KURIER and the news magazine profile, is the new president of the Media Analysis working group. Grasl was unanimously elected by the board today as the successor to Thomas Spann (Kleine Zeitung). The styria manager changes as a deputy. General Secretary in the Austria Chamber of Commerce, with which the top position in the most important market research organization of the Austrian media landscape had become vacant. Span was only followed in autumn 2024 for long -time President Helmut Hanusch after his death.
“As President of Media Analysis, the interests between the media and agencies and also among the many publishers are to be compared. It is also important to successfully develop the media analysis under difficult economic framework conditions,” said Grasl. “I would like to thank Thomas Spank for the excellent preparatory work for the new media analysis in the past few months and with his vice president Helmut Schoba (chairman of the print curia).” Schoba remains vice president.
The media analysis was founded in 1965 as a club of publishers and advertising agencies and is the largest study in Austria to raise prints. In recent years it has been supplemented by digital use and calculation of cross-media ranges. The media analysis also provides a wealth of target group data that provide information about the living conditions and attitudes of the Austrians.
In addition to Richard Grasl (KURIER) and Helmut Schoba (VGN), Erwin Vaskovich (publicis media Austria) as Vice President as well as Susanne Koll (OMG) and Hermann Petz (formerly Moser Holding) belong to the presidium. The board is equally occupied by 18 representatives of publishers and agencies. Petra Roschitz is and remains the managing director of the association.
