ORF-2 talk format is completely renewed in its 25th year with the usual diverse range of topics and guests
Vienna (OTS) – In the anniversary year – Barbara Karlich will celebrate a quarter of a century on ORF with her talk show in autumn 2024 – the show will be shown from Monday, January 8th, 2024, at the usual time slot at 4 p.m. on ORF 2 with the new title “Barbara Karlich – Talk at 4” and new design in the completely renovated studio. This is the second major change since the show began. The design was last changed significantly in 2014, as the aquarium, which had been visible in the background since the beginning of the show, gave way to a modern lounge atmosphere.
With the relaunch of the daily talk show, the studio audience is also being dispensed with in order to enable even more intensive conversations – especially on sensitive topics – in this more intimate atmosphere. The focus is still on the guests with their personal experiences and true stories. “Barbara Karlich – Talk at 4” delivers tried-and-tested features that are reflected in the usual complex topics and a wide variety of guests.
Diverse topics and guests at “Barbara Karlich – Talk at 4”
No topic is taboo – the audience learns everything about other worlds, love, relationships, family, gender roles, social issues, health and beauty, esotericism and religion, integration and inclusion as well as environmental and climate protection. The show addresses all of these topics with the necessary expertise and care.
In order to continue to live up to this claim, Barbara Karlich continues to rely on the help of proven specialist experts in the renewed talk format. The core team includes Martin Felinger (clinical and health psychologist), Monika Wogrolly (psychotherapist), Natalia Ölsböck (psychologist), Nicole Seiler (nutritionist), Thomas Rotter (psycho- and sex therapist), Ulrike Schiesser (psychotherapist and psychologist, expert on cult issues) , Gisela Hajek (clinical and health psychologist), Katharina Mühl (psychosocial expert, happiness trainer), Aleksandra Faes (press spokesperson for Integrationsfonds Austria), Helmuth Haslacher (doctor and molecular biologist) and Beate Wimmer-Puchinger (clinical and health psychologist).
“Barbara Karlich – Talk at 4” opens on January 8th on ORF 2
The first issue on Monday, January 8th at 4 p.m. on ORF 2 says “Esotericism meets science”: Many consider esotericism to be irrational, but at the same time the market is booming like never before. Especially in times of crisis, people seek advice from energeticians and spiritual coaches and use amulets, healing stones, pendulums or crystals. Esotericism combines a hodgepodge of occult traditions and alternative models of explaining the world. Claims are made that do not stand up to any evidence. Science, on the other hand, is based on intensive research, observation and measurement. Why is esotericism so attractive to many people, and why can it even be dangerous to trust intuition rather than facts?
The topics of the first two weeks at a glance:
“Esotericism meets science” (8 January), “Role model Grandma – role model Grandpa” (9 January), “My job is extraordinary” (10 January), “Sun, storks, enjoyment of wine: Burgenland is always in season” ( January 11), “Female, Single, Happy?” (January 12), “Baby Boomers Meet Millennials” (January 15), “My Near Death Experience” (January 16), “Childless and Happy?” (January 17 ), “Vive la France!” (January 18th), “Music is my elixir of life” (January 19th).
