Reopening: Nature Friends Whitewater Center more modern than ever before

Wien/Wildalpen (OTS) After structural investments, the Nature Friends Wildwater Center Wildalpen scores with a brand new seminar room and modern sanitary facilities. On Sunday, numerous guests celebrated the reopening of the kayak and water sports center.

A spacious seminar room and modern sanitary facilities for the ever-popular campsite: This Nature Friends Wildwater Center Wildalpen shines in new splendor. At the season opening, Nature Friends Federal Chairman Andreas Schieder, Federal Managing Director Günter Abraham, the Mayor of Wildalpen, Karin Gulas and the President of the Canoe Association, Günther Briedl celebrated the successfully completed construction work with numerous guests.

Nature Friends Federal Chairman Andreas Schieder opened the celebrations: “It is an important step to have brought the infrastructure of our white water center in Wildalpen up to date so that we can pass on our expertise here.” This was followed by greetings from Karin Gulas, mayor of Wildalpen and canoe association president Günther Briedl, who emphasized the importance of the whitewater center. During a cozy get-together afterwards with snacks and drinks, the guests were able to enjoy the atmosphere directly on the Salza in wonderful weather. The crowning conclusion was a freestyle demonstration by the Nature Friends kayak pros directly on the campsite wave and the kayak trip by Andreas Schieder in a single and double kayak.

As an important kayaking competence center, the Naturfreunde Wildalpen Wildwater Center offers numerous course and water sports options. “The investment enhances the Naturfreunde training center in Wildalpen in two ways: on the one hand, the infrastructure in the whitewater center is now state-of-the-art, and on the other hand, a modern seminar area has been created in Wildalpen, which is important for canoeing in Austria and the transfer of knowledge in this segment “, says Günter Abraham, Federal Managing Director of Naturefriends Austria. Thanks to the structural changes, the whitewater center is now perfectly prepared for the upcoming summer season and the Salza Rodeo, an international freestyle, kayak cross and (fun) slalom competition, on May 10th and 11th.
