Remodeling intersection B 210 / L 154
St. Pölten (ots) –

The redesign of the intersection on B 210 Ebreichsdorfer Straße with the L 154 Tattendorfer Straße in Oberwaltersdorf (Baden district) significantly increases traffic safety. MP Peter Gerstner recently carried out the official construction start together with Mayor Natascha Matousek and DI Klaus Längauer, Head of the Lower Austria Road Construction Department.

At the intersection of the B 210 Ebreichsdorfer Straße with the L 154 Tattendorfer Straße in Oberwaltersdorf, the high traffic density, especially in the morning and evening hours, came to congestion and sometimes also accidents, which is why the Lower Austrian road service together with the market town of Oberwaltersdorf decided to redesign the crossing, which a new traffic light signal, a new traffic light and new provides for foot and cyclists.

The GESIG company takes place. It will be switched to permanent green for the B 210 and only when a vehicle from the L 154 via motion detector or floor sensors will be switched. For the footers and cyclists, the registration is made using the pressure switch. The lanes of the B 210 are adapted in its width so that a turning strip can be built with a traffic island from Ebreichsdorf. The roadway in the intersection is carried out in concrete. Existing sidewalks are partially adapted in their width, so that a connection can also be created for the bike path via the B 210. The construction work is expected to be completed by the beginning of September. Work on behalf of the municipality for the new water pipe has been running for around two months. The road construction work is carried out by the Leyrer & Graf company from Schwechat.

The traffic on the B 210 and the L 154 is partially led by the construction site during the construction period. The approach and exit of Siedlerstraße (municipal road) to the B 210 always remains closed during the construction work. The total costs are around 580,000 euros, of which around 400,000 euros are borne by the state of Lower Austria and 180,000 euros by the market town of Oberwaltersdorf.
