The UN nuclear agency IAEA, based in Vienna, invites you from 21-25. October to the international Small Modular Reactor (SMR) conference. The small, modular reactors – “plug-and-play” – are intended to save the industry, which is characterized by bankruptcies, bad luck and breakdowns. Close to Austria, in Temelín, Czech Republic, the environmental impact assessment for the first SMR is already being prepared, and further SMRs are planned. The actual status of SMR development, the risks and potential will be highlighted in an online press conference.
