“Refurbishment is too little, Austria needs further reforms”
Vienna (OTS) –

“Austria faces great financial challenges. Even the greatest efforts to save will not be enough to put Austria’s finances on healthy legs. Refurbishment is urgently needed, but not sufficiently in view of the deficit and the economic situation,” says Neos club chairman Yannick Shetty about the current budget numbers.

“We now have to reform and modernize at all levels. Even if the economy jumps again, there can be no back to old structures and mechanisms that have caused the extent of the current crisis. This is the only way to create scope for real relief in the medium term. The numbers affect us all – i.e. the federal government and communities. Therefore we have to look for potential further savings. For this, we are ready.

The Federal Government is committed to keeping the consolidation course on the agreed savings in the double budget 2025/26 and is already working intensively to secure the financial future of Austria sustainably together with an expert: inside and all political levels and at the same time relieve people. “We are committed to the fact that savings are made efficiently in the system without shortening the future areas such as education and innovation,” says Shetty.
