Red Cross Family Festival on the Kaiserwiese in the Prater

On Saturday, the 23. August 2025the Kaiserwiese im Wiener Prater von 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. In a place full of encounter, hands -on activities and exciting insights into the work of the Vienna Red Cross. The Red Cross Family Festival is under the motto “We are there” and is aimed at all generations – admission is free.

Colorful program for all ages

Visitors can expect a colorful program: from show exercises of the emergency services and the search dog squadron to presentations of the emergency vehicles, photo box and disaster relief to hands -on stations for children, movement for senior citizens and a blood donation. For children there is a stamp pass with a small surprise gift with successful graduation. A lot is also offered culinary – from the food truck to the Kaiserschmarrn from the field kitchen. The income benefits the work of the Vienna Red Cross.

„With the family festival we would like to show how diverse and lifelike our work is – and at the same time set a sign of community and solidarity. Everyone is welcome to participate, be amazed and help“, Says Georg Geczek, state rescue commander of the Vienna Red Cross.
