The latest release also brings the AI ​​tool capito digital to Outlook. In addition to German, now also available in English to reach all target groups!

Austrian market pioneer now also for English

Due to increasing migration, there is an increasing need for understandable language in the DACH region. The new English-language version of capito digital will address people with other first languages ​​(such as migrant skilled workers) even better, international marketing will be made easier and employees will be supported in improving their own English skills.

The foundation for artificial intelligence is formed by research activities from over 20 years of manual text simplifications by specialists in easy language. The scientific basis is constantly being developed through large research projects, which are supported by, among others, the European Innovation Council and the Swiss Agency for Innovation Promotion (Innosuisse).

Only 46% of adults understand difficult texts

The last PIACC study (2013) showed that the majority of adults do not understand complicated texts: only 45.7% can read an authority text at language level B2 without problems. On the other hand, a text at level A1 simplified by capito digital is understood by 98.2% of people – almost 53% more!

It’s not just people with learning difficulties or other first languages ​​who prefer easy-to-understand texts. A full 10% of fair-finance Bank’s customers read capito’s easy-to-understand account messages. Among the readers of the B1 version, 44% are academics. In total, over 9 million people already use capito’s digital products.

The first plain language Outlook add-in

The integration into Outlook complements capito digital’s offering, which is already available directly in Microsoft Word and as a browser add-on on almost all websites – from WordPress to social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter. “With capito digital, everyone can read and write in their preferred language and difficulty level”, says CDO Paul Anton Mayer happily. The result is higher read and response rates to emails and mailing lists and fewer frustrated customers.
