AT&S is participating in #PurpleLightUp 2023 for the International Day of People with Disabilities and is making the new high-tech interior facade of the headquarters shine in purple.
Leoben (OTS) – International Day of People with Disabilities, celebrated on December 3rd each year, recognizes the important contributions that people with disabilities make in their professional and personal lives. It is also intended to raise social awareness of inclusion issues and draw attention to the advantages of an integrative society. In order to increase the visibility of these important concerns in the truest sense of the word and shed light on them, companies and institutions in many countries are taking part in the #PurpleLightUp campaign and coloring their facades and logos purple.
The international high-tech company AT&S, based in Leoben, is taking part in this campaign for the first time this year: A high-tech lighting element developed with Ars Electronica, which is modeled on the conductor tracks on a circuit board and illuminates the entrance area of the new headquarters, will light up from Thursday, November 30th , until Monday, December 4th, in purple and sends purple light down the conductor tracks to express AT&S’s appreciation for the services and concerns of people with disabilities.
Diversity as an advantage

, emphasizes Marina Hornasek-Metzl. AT&S has also had a partnership with Leoben for years Cafe Benivaa seminar center that enables the people with Down syndrome who work there to lead a self-determined life.
AT&S sees the diversity in the workforce as an enormous advantage and values the creative solutions that the diverse teams deliver.
