Tomorrow, on June 23, the international day of the public service is committed worldwide – an important occasion to focus on system relevance, operational readiness and social responsibility of the public staff. “The public service is a guarantee for the maintenance of public life and the smooth functioning of our republic. Whether at school, health care, the executive, the federal army, in the judiciary, the administration or in many other areas-our public workers do an outstanding day,” emphasizes exhaust.
Especially in times of crisis, the strength, resilience and professionalism of the public service can be seen. In the tragic killing spree at a school in Graz, the rapid and coordinated commitment of emergency services, educators and health staff once again demonstrated how indispensable they are for our society.
The areas of application of the public service are diverse and indispensable for the functioning of our country: “If there is not enough nursing and healthcare staff in a hospital, the system literally threatens to take a standstill; without judicial care; without judges and prosecutors, the foundation for a safe and just society would be missing; Tunnels fall for traffic and security. “I could give many other examples that show that a lot would stand still in our republic without the public service.”
Reality should be recognized and appreciation for all professional groups in the public service all year round. “We can be proud of our public service, which largely contributes to the quality of life in Austria,” said the MP.
“The attractiveness and strengthening of the public service is a central political responsibility, the importance of which we are absolutely aware of as a people’s party. It is decisive that the public service is efficient, modern, future -friendly and barrier -free. My big thank you and respect for all public work in numerous areas of our country – and the 365 days a year,” says the ÖVP area for the spokeswoman for the Public service.
