REWE International AG is recalling several confectionery items (with a best before date of July 8, 2024) as a precautionary measure for reasons of consistent consumer protection
Wiener Neudorf (OTS) – Occasionally there may be metal foreign bodies in our supplier’s shortcrust pastry tartlets. Since these cakes are used in some of our confectionery products, REWE International AG has decided to recall the following items for reasons of consistent consumer protection. Since the items are always produced fresh, they are exclusively goods with a shelf life of up to July 8th, 2024:
- Ayoka good mood cake
- Royal bowl with currants
- Raspberry poppy seed tartlet
- Fruit bowl
- Strawberry Royal Tarts
- Fratelli Barbaro lime tart
- Apricot tartlet
- Raspberry Royal Tarts
- Maronitraum
- Lime Pie Tartlet
- Apple Cinnamon Royal Tarts
- Halloween orange tart ghost
- Passion fruit raspberry tarts
- Barbaro lime tart foam dream
- Lime tart foam dream
- Lime tarts
- Caramel tarts
- Lemon Cake
- Caramel tarts
- Fruit bowl
- Royal cake with strawberries
- Royal tart with raspberries
Only those items that could potentially be produced in the pastry areas of the markets are listed.
A possible health risk cannot be ruled out. It is therefore not recommended to consume the potentially affected confectionery products. The inventory of the affected shortcrust cakes and the confectionery products made from them was withdrawn from sale.

The warning does not state that the health risk was caused by the producer, manufacturer, importer or distributor
