Public product recall: BILLA GENUSSWELT TONNO A PINNE GIALLE AFFUMICATO 100G

The supplier Interfood Grocery Wholesale GmbH has initiated a precautionary recall of the following product for reasons of consistent consumer protection.

Wiener Neudorf (OTS) – During routine testing of the affected product, an elevated mercury content was detected and a recall was initiated.

For example, mercury enters the food chain and thus into food through deposits in the soil and water. In predatory fish, such as tuna, which are at the bottom of the food chain, this can accumulate to a greater extent and is therefore part of regular routine examinations. It is not recommended to consume the product mentioned with a best-before date of February 5, 2024.

The inventory of the affected product has been removed from sale.
